Events organized

PI-SCALE will increase awareness and understanding of the huge opportunities in product design and distinct advantages of flexible OLED technology through various events.

“Hands-on” OLED Lighting Workshop & International OLED B2B Forum at the GLOW Lighting Festival

Date: 15th November 2016
Venue: KAZERNE Restaurant
Address: KAZERNE, Paradijslaan 2-8 5611 KN Eindhoven, The Netherlands

Flexible OLED Lighting and Potential Applicationsflexoled
Flexible OLEDs have the potential to be integrated into formed parts or seamlessly bonded onto curved surfaces, and the commercialisation of this technology will open up a host of exciting design opportunities to create new value adding lighting products in many different application areas, such as architecture, automotive, aerospace fashion and consumer electronics.

PI-SCALE Project
PI-SCALE is a European collaboration to create an open access pilot line service offering world class capability in customised flexible organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) in order to accelerate the commercial adoption of this technology. The project brings together Europe’s experts and state-of-the-art infrastructure for flexible OLED fabrication, and enables companies to quickly and cost effectively test and scale up their flexible OLED lighting or signage concepts and bring them to a level where they are ready to be transferred to a mass production facility.

“Hands-on” OLED Lighting Workshop
Held at the Glow Festival in Eindhoven, the “Hands-on” OLED Lighting Workshop, co-organised by PI-SCALE and OLEDWorks GmbH, is intended for designers and product developers from many different application areas including architecture, automotive, aerospace, fashion and consumer electronics. The workshop will offer a deep level of understanding of the possibilities and technical challenges of integrating OLEDs into existing and future products, and explain how the PI-SCALE pilot line and OLEDWorks GmbH can help with this. Small group brainstorm sessions and discussions with OLED experts from industry and R&D will offer the attendees the opportunity to work through design concepts and have their questions about the technology answered.

International OLED B2B Forum
The International OLED B2B Forum will provide an excellent opportunity to hear the status and potential of OLED technology, as well as networking opportunities for companies who wish to introduce flexible OLEDs into their products and to discuss commercial business opportunities. The event will include presentations and over 150 delegates from key players in the OLED industry such as OLEDWorks.

Both events will provide a demonstrator showcase existing commercially available OLEDs and flexible OLEDs from the pilot line.

To register for the events please follow the link below.

We would like to inform you that the “Hands-on” OLED Lighting Workshop is fully booked, we cannot accept further registrations. However, we invite you to continue registering for the International OLED B2B Forum.

DESIGN COMPETITION

The PISCALE project will arrange an OLED Design Competition, where groups of industrial design students are competing to design and realize innovative OLED based products, that may be exploitable in a later stage. In the product sketch design phase, the 5 best solutions will be selected to go through to the second phase. During the second phase selected OLED designs will be realized using real OLED samples provided by the consortium.
